excursions
There are also many options for cultural excursions in the region that offer excellent opportunities to get to know the area better.
Todos Santos, a quaint oasis to the north was recently awarded official status as a Pueblo Mágico — a magic village. It is an interesting mix of native locals and ex-pats, with historic buildings and numerous art galleries and shops.
If you're in a particularly festive mood, head south to the bustling tourist town of Cabo San Lucas. Here you'll find plenty to entertain you — from shopping to fine dining to live music to bars and clubs that will have you dancing the night away.
Up the Sea of Cortez side is the more tranquil sister of Cabo San Lucas — San Jose del Cabo. San Jose has a smaller, colonial downtown that also offers shopping and fine cuisine. It's sleepier in the evenings, however, which suits us just fine.
Beyond the towns, there are plenty of options for world-class golf, beach-combing, an ocean tour, or just soaking up the sights and sounds of Mexico.
